Thanks to your votes, we are proud to announce that the grand prize winner of $2500 is Learning For Life Autism Centre.

The Learning For Life Autism Centre – VIC

Learning for Life Autism Centre are a not-for-profit organisation that provides intensive, early, home-based intervention programs to children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to help them reach their potential regardless of their financial circumstances. The number of ASD children in Australia is surprisingly high, 1 in 110 children. Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) is very effective in helping children with autism reach their potential and is also prohibitively expensive for most families.

Learning for Life sources, trains and organises ABA therapists who design and deliver each ASD child’s program, usually within their home and community. To address the extremely high costs of these programs to families, L4L endeavours to subsidise them as much as possible through fundraising, grants and by minimising the overhead expenses that we pass on to our families through our fees.

How will Click for Community help: The Click For Community grant will be used by Learning For Life Autism Centre to put their therapists through first aid training (CPR and anaphylaxis) as this is essential for people working in children’s programs and is a large expense  that a small not for profit group would have a struggle to fund without support from the community. 

Congratulations once again to the winning finalists  Jacaranda Club House and Wallsend Football Club who each won $1000. These grants will help to fund various programs that these fantastic groups run to support their community.
