I love the idea of giving someone a gift basket or a hamper filled with lots of delicious goodies, but I often find there are one or two things you find in a pre-made hamper that just don’t cut the mustard. Sometimes it’s the mustard.

Recently I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with my three tiny nephews, aged between one and five, all of whom are absolutely delightful (albeit a little over enthusiastic with hiding important things, like my name badge, the remote control and my complete collection of mini screwdrivers). Jack, Oscar and Charlie all live the expat life, so to see them for a few weeks has been wonderful. In the time they’ve been here I’ve been working hard at brain-washing them into (a) remembering who I am; and (b) thinking that I’m the greatest Aunty in the whole world. Read more…
