Online Merchandise Assistant

Alana is currently on maternity leave with her new baby daughter Brooke. Alana has been with the Coles Group for 8½ years. Outside of work she enjoys catching up with friends and family, relaxing and cooking in her teeny weeny kitchen. You will never go hungry if Alana is catering.

Alana’s specialty dish is Mars Bar Cheesecake

Loyalty and Retention Manager

When she isn’t creating email campaigns and keeping up with online shopping trends, you can find Andrea being crafty. In 2009 she took a small step to the left by deciding to undertake a Certificate in Pattern Making and Garment Construction.
Andrea tries to practise these new skills as often as she can by applying her creativity to cooking. Her favourite foods are seafood, singapore noodles, pad thai and empanadas. She is slowly becoming more confident to experiment with different asian sauces (think oyster, hoisin, fish sauce) when after a quick meal at home

Andrea’s specialty dishes are vegetarian pastas and bakes.

Social Media Coordinator

Belinda is a South Australian trying to find her way in her new home of Melbourne. This means crying that there is no decent iced coffee in Victoria and jumping for joy when there are yummy meat pies with sauce to be had at Coles!

Social media is her role so responding to your Twitter, Facebook and blog comments is her favourite thing to do. Music is also one of her passions which has led to her working with some of the biggest names in the music industry… selling their merchandise at shows and occasionally keeping crazy fans away from the artists.

Belinda is learning to cook, loves the microwave and her specialty dish is omlettes.


CraigCraig

National Customer Delivery Fleet Manager

Craig’s new to the world of Supermarkets and online retail, his background is transport and mechanics. Craig joined the Coles team as we started the voyage of discovery with our Coles online company fleet of Vans. He know’s every van by name and makes sure that they are running at their peak potential to deliver your groceries. He has a passion for his sports and prefers a good home cooked meal rather than a restaurant meal.

His speciality dish is “anything none complicated” but loves a good Taco Salad!


DanielDaniel

Business Development manager for NSW/ACT

Friday night is Mexican night at Daniel’s house and you will always find a pot of freshly made hot salsa in the fridge. Daniel’s passion is travelling and that includes his own back yard, and his favourite places in the world would be Frazer Island and Tulum in Mexico. Music taste include Counting Crows, Van Morrison and Dave Matthews.

Daniel’s specialty dishes are Chilaquiles, Enchiladas Suizas and Apricot chicken.



David
David

Business Development manager for QLD

David has been with Coles Online for 2 years. These past 12 months David has been enjoying time as a new Dad to his son Harrison and with another baby boy due in April, things are about to get very hectic in the Watt household. Being from QLD, most meals are cooked on the BBQ and eaten out on the back deck – often with a beer or two. His favourite meal is his wife’s Lasagne and finds it hard to say no to a slice of cake.

David’s specialty dish is creamy chicken broccoli fettuccine

National GM&A Manager

After 6 months working in another part of the Coles business, Duncan has returned to the Coles Online nest to work on our non-foods range. When he isn’t obsessing over web servers, search engines, pricing models and marketing campaigns, he fills his time with a little bit of football, a little bit of travel, a little bit of reading and a lot of family time. His two daughters are now 11 and 9 years old and, inspired by Junior Masterchef, are beginning to enjoy cooking. He is looking forward to the day that they take over the Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings duties on a Sunday.

Duncan’s speciality dish is still Roast Beef with Yorkshire puddings, for now.

Merchandise Assistant – Meat and Liquor

Originally from New Zealand where he grew up between New Plymouth and Palmerston North, Jacob moved to Melbourne in 2007 and fell in love with the place. Not long after he joined Coles and has now been working at the support office for nearly 3 years in various roles. He loves going out for meals, watching bands, playing music, rugby league and playing cricket.

Jacobs’ speciality dish is Roast Pork Belly with plum sauce, Dutch carrots, beetroot and kumara.

National Sales and Marketing Manager

Jules has escaped from the UK recently after working in London for far too long. Jules enjoys running, skiing, diving and wine. A regular marathon runner Julie will probably bore you with her split times. She lives with her two cats and is a fan of simple meals and chocolate.

Jule’s specialty dish is steamed salmon and rocket salad with a drizzle of balsamic.


KeithKeith

General Manager

Keith is the big cheese, head honcho, el presidente. We’re not entirely sure what he does all day but it seems to be working. We know where we’re going, what’s important (he’s obsessed with customer service), and sales are growing. We figure these may be related. And he’s OK with us because he buys the team drinks twice a year.

Keith’s specialty dish is “anything I can cook on the barbecue.” In his mind this appears to be pretty much anything requiring heat!


LazLaz (Andrew)

Process Development Manager

Laz has been with Coles for 32 years across many parts of the business and joined the Coles Online team 4 years ago to assist in re-engineering the service. Often referred to as our resident “mad inventor” he looks after the “physical” aspect of how we do stuff; the equipment, the shopping, the packing and delivery of your goods.

Skeptical by nature, Andrew is a good reality check for all of us, keeping things simple for everyone. He has a well known motto around the office “surely it’s not that hard”. Having three young daughters at home, tells us he lives in “the house of pink”.

Laz enjoys potato chips and his specialty dish is Vita Brits in milk topped with sugar and thickened cream.


LouiseLouise

Customer Experience Manager

Growing up in a tiny town, Louise learnt to make everything from her Nonna’s tomato sauce to her own fun.

She has the most fun when cooking, dining out or writing about food. See a theme emerging? Working for coles.com.au gives her access to a range of fresh ingredients and yet another reason to think about all things fodder.

Louise’s speciality dish is Cha Ca La Vong – Vietnamese fried fish.


MelMel

Customer Acquisition & Engagement Manager

After working in the marketing team at Coles Express for almost 3 years, Mel has made the move (literally just down the stairs!) to join Coles Online. She is a very active person and enjoys running, netball, tennis and of course walking her Golden Retriever, Oscar. Having lived in both London and Sydney, she enjoys travelling to new places, tasting new cuisines and meeting new people.

Mel’s speciality dish has been passed down from her mother (who is a fantastic cook and is a tough act to follow!) – Beef Stroganoff with Buttered Noodles.


MattMatt

Technology Manager

Matt has lived and breathed Coles Online in one form or another for over 11 years. On days off you’ll find Matt working outside on any number of projects, acting as taxi for his two boys or going for a run!

Matt’s specialty dish is butterfly leg of lamb marinated with garlic and rosemary cooked on the BBQ and roast vegetables


MerrynMerryn

Marketing Manager

Merryn has been working in Marketing with Coles since 1997. A proud mum to a 8yr old boy and a 5 yr old girl. She likes quick & easy to prepare meals that are healthy for her hubby and kids. She can quite often be seen in the kitchen cooking with her kids and searching the web for meal ideas for the 3 days of the week her hubby doesn’t cook dinner.

Merryn’s specialty dish is Golden Syrup Dumplings.

Customer Experience Manager

Natalie manages our website content and is working towards delivering a better customer experience for our customers. Outside of work, she loves all things creative, whether it be pottering around a  local design market, cooking up a tasty meal in the kitchen for friends or planning her next holiday. She loves nothing more than a new adventure…and nothing more so, than the impending arrival of her first baby – a slightly new type of adventure on the home front!

Natalie’s specialty dish is Easy Chicken Pie and Chocolate Profiteroles but this may soon change to pureed baby food…


ShaneShane

Coles Online Graduate

More commonly known as The Stig, Shane has been with Coles for 7 years and recently joined the Coles Online team as part of the Coles Graduate Program. He enjoys to travel the world and has recently returned from a trip which took him all across Europe, Egypt and Singapore. In his spare time he can be found either catching up with mates, enjoying a round of golf or simply enjoying any form of sport on television.

Shane enjoys Italian and Mexican cuisine and his specialty dish is spicy chicken, chorizo and roasted pumpkin risotto.

Supplier Campaign Manager

Simon has been working for Coles since mid 2010 and has a background in online marketing & advertising.

A mad Melbourne Demons fan and passionate supporter of live music – he is often out and about enjoying himself on the weekends.

Simon’s speciality dish is Thai Green Curry.


SueSue

Online Merchandise Assistant

Sue has been with Coles for nearly 3 years. She started with Coles.com.au before the new website was around so has experienced a lot of change in her role as an Online Merchandise Assistant. Cooking in not one of Sue’s favourite pastimes but she does enjoy eating and watching American cooking shows. She has four kids, one of the two legged variety and 3 of the four legged variety (a 5 year old boy, one dog and 2 cats).

Sue’s specialty dish is cheese sandwiches (the girls at work will vouch for the fact that Sue eats these virtually every day for lunch!).


TamaraTamara

Online Content Administrator

Tamara loves travelling around the globe and experiencing the food and new cultures – and being gluten free means searching in obscure places to find these specialty foods – so has become very resourceful. No gluten-free bread? No worries, she’ll eat foie gras on a rice cracker.

She speaks french, loves watching foreign language films and fashion shows, buying a variety of useless but beautiful items off online shopping websites, visiting random art exhibitions, eating brie cheese and chocolate.

Tamara’s specialty dish is gluten free pizza with prosciutto and spinach.


TimTim

Online Content Administrator

As the person who is updating the site with new banners and recipes each week, Tim covers a lot of various food combinations and ingredients. Constantly striving for incredible kitchen feats he like to cook anything from cous cous to calamari. Tim’s favourite foods are fruit and meat while his favourite cuisines are from Mexico and France.


VanessaVanessa

Coles Online Graduate – Marketing

Vanessa is the “newbie” to the Online team. Having worked in store for 1 year and graduated from university, she recently joined the Coles graduate program. Being an extremely sporty person; she once played 8 games of netball in a week. Travelling, hanging out with friends, playing pool and watching the footy are also among Vanessa’s hobbies. She is a long time Carlton supporter who dreams of meeting her favourite player, number 44 Andrew Carrazzo.

Vanessa’s specialty dish is Dumplings and crepes.
