Top Father’s day feast ideas

I have a couple of Dads in my life, my Dad and my hubby. I’m planning to cook up a storm for the day to  show them how much the kids and I appreciate them and to celebrate Dads and all they do.

I plan to make Dad’s day special with a day long feast they will never forget. From their favorite breakfast and lunch to a dinner they will love.  Here are a couple of our recipe ideas to make this a special Father’s Day and to thank your Dad or special person in your life. Read more…

Gluten Free All The Way

ze0708Since I discovered that gluten doesn’t agree with me, I have had to make some major adjustments to my diet.

A few years ago, this was quite tricky, as no one had even really heard of a gluten intolerance. Note: I don’t have Coeliac Disease, but I am gluten intolerant. The rough difference for me is that I don’t become gravely ill if I eat gluten, however it does make me feel quite sick, so I don’t eat it. Read more…

I’m always looking for some little tricks that make dishes look, taste, smell or just sound a little better or little more intricate. One way of achieving this is using some of the easiest gourmet ingredients you can get your hands on (I’m looking at you, prosciutto). Celebrating Mexican Independence Day

PozoleExactly 200 years ago on the 15th & 16th of September the people of Mexico rose up against the Spanish initiating the War of Independence. It is celebrated in town squares across Mexico and commemorated by Mexicans all over the world.
