The Best Festive Dessert

For the third entry in my continuing series of attempts at recreating some of the recipes from the Coles Christmas Magazine, I’ve turned a little sweeter. I’ve already claimed victory over Christmas Cocktails, and had a crack at the crackling, but now it’s time to move on to dessert and probably the most visually challenging recipe I’ve attempted.

A Christmas Message From Keith.

Keith and his BBQ.Christmas is nearly with us again! In my family this means Christmas planning & shopping from mid-November, plus conversations with our young children about how Santa always sees bad behaviour and how he’s going to get down a non-existent chimney! In your home it may be similar or very different. Either way, it’s an exciting and hopefully enjoyable time for most of us, and I do hope your Christmas and holiday period brings all you wish for.

Bring a plate?

Christmas Tree Cookies‘Tis the season to party… especially for my kids.  Over the next few weeks my kids have a busier social diary than I do.  Everything from a Kinder Christmas concert to Grandparent’s day at school to a school break-up party. Each invitation ends with “Please bring a plate”.   

The first thoughts that pop in to my head are “What can I make that is quick and easy?”, “I need a recipe that is tried and true”… and “How can I impress the other mothers?”
