It’s that time of year again when I manage to get out in the garden and see what the summer has done to destroy and or encourage my plants to stay with the family for another year. The summer we had in Melbourne gave weather that was either very hot or very wet. Coles online is the online home delivery division of Coles Supermarkets and we have national community partnerships with Landcare, Foodbank, Cancer Council, Second Bite and Guide Dogs Australia. We support these national charitable organisations with the aim of developing healthier communities throughout Australia.

Introduction
In support of our community, Coles.com.au is proud to run the Click for Community Program. The program provides community groups with the chance to be awarded one of three grants to the value of $1,000 and one lucky group can receive an additional $1,500 if they receive the highest number of votes.
How it works
1 – Community groups apply for a grant
2 - Coles online select three finalists that each win $1,000
3 – The three finalists are put to a public vote to decide who should win an extra $1,500
4 – Winner of the additional grant is announced
Eligible Community Groups
Coles online focuses on supporting communities throughout Australia. In particular, we are focused on providing our support to:
Organisations aiding children and babies
Mother’s groups and support services
Sports clubs; for example, football and netball clubs
Disability support services and organisations
Aged care
Welfare groups
Organisations focused on health and wellbeing
Please note that we also accept applications from groups outside of these areas, these are just a guide.
We cannot provide financial support for the following groups:
Individuals
Political groups or activist organisations
Local councils
Endowment and trust funds
Fundraising for overseas appeal, charities and travel
Groups which are discriminatory in nature
Companies fundraising on behalf of charity groups and organisations
How grants are awarded
Coles online offers three grants to the value of $1,000. The three finalists are selected by Coles online and our decision is final.
The three finalists of each grant round will appear on blog.colesonline.com.au for public voting and each will win $1,000. The community group which receives the largest amount of customer votes will be awarded an additional grant of $1,500 meaning that they will receive $2,500 in total.

Application period for this round of grants is Now - 27th May 2012
The three finalists as judged by coles.com.au will be contacted and their stories will be put up on the official Coles online blog on 4th June.
Readers will be able to vote for which group will receive the additional $1,500 grant between 4th- 17th June 2012.
The People’s Choice grant recipient will be announced after within 1 week of the end of the voting period.
