Snickerdoodles. What are snickerdoodles? That is exactly the question I had been asking for years. I had come across lots of pictures and recipes for these mysterious cookies on various American websites but had never actually ever tried or seen one in real life. What kind of name is snickerdoodle anyway?
I emailed my American friends to ask what on earth is so great about snickerdoodles. Cinnamon and sugar is the answer! Everything in America tastes and smells like cinnamon – there is cinnamon flavoured gum even! I can’t get enough of cinnamon flavoured things.

This has been my daughters first year at school. She has learnt so much and has thoroughly enjoyed learning. My son is in grade 2 and when asked what he did today at school. A common answer is ” We played games”. When I delve further I find out he has been learning a core piece of the curriculum but in a fun way. My kids teachers have been wonderful again this year and as Christmas approaches we will be letting our teachers know they are appreciated. We’ve come up with 6 terrific gift ideas that teachers are sure to enjoy. We had a Coles Online office party the other day to celebrate Merryn’s birthday… she wouldn’t tell us how old she is but we all think she turned 21… again. I whipped up these delicious (and gigantic) oreo biscuits for us all to share.
Put them in your kids lunch box for a special treat or my favourite thing to do with sweet treats is to sneak them into the cinema instead of popcorn. MMM Oreo!

“Your bickies rock, I can’t stop making them and the recipe makes so many….mmmm”
This was the simple e-mail I’d received from a friend, after I’d sent her my recipe for choc chip biscuits. She had heard through a friend (who’d I previously given the recipe to) that my chocolate chip biscuits were delicious and that she’d simply have to try them.
A few of my friends are very protective about their secret recipes for top dishes. But my philosophy is to share the yumminess. So I thought I’d share my choc chip biscuit recipe with you, so you can share them with your friends.
