Fast Food At Home: Japanese Yakitori Chicken

I’ve typically bought Yakitori chicken kebabs as a quick lunch when I’m out shopping from Japanese food court outlets.  Yakitori are Japanese style chicken kebabs.  My daughter and I whipped up these kebabs for a simple Friday night dinner.  They are so easy to eat they would also be ideal for barbeques and parties.  Read more…

Top Father’s day feast ideas

I have a couple of Dads in my life, my Dad and my hubby. I’m planning to cook up a storm for the day to  show them how much the kids and I appreciate them and to celebrate Dads and all they do.

My Lessons With The Slow Cooker

Morrocan Lamb ShanksThere has been a lot of chat around the office and at school pick up about cooking in the slow cooker. Last winter I didn’t succumb to buying a slow cooker but this year was a different story. When Coles were selling them for less than $30, I figured I didn’t have much to loose. I’ve now had 3 attempts at using the slow cooker. The last experience was the most successful.  So here are the lessons I learnt.
