A window to your heart – Valentines Day Window Cookies

February 7, 2012 3 comments

Valentines day is just around the corner and I made some sweet treats to give to my loved ones. Stained glass window cookies are like a little window to your heart; love shaped, sweet, clear, pretty, kind and desirable :) .

The cute thing about these cookies is that they shine in the light and you also end up making two types of cookies; the window cookies and little heart shaped cookies from the bit you cut out of the window cookie. Love all around! Read more…

Snickerdoodles are yankee doodley delicious!

February 3, 2012 13 comments

Snickerdoodles. What are snickerdoodles? That is exactly the question I had been asking for years. January 20, 2012 15 comments

It’s that time of year again when kids go back to school to learn new things and play with friends.  Parents, on the other hand, get to put their creative hats on to come up with food for the lunch box that their little students will eat and be nourished by.  Well don’t worry because we have some easy ideas that you can use this year that your kids will love and won’t break the bank.

It is important to mix things up a bit to make sure your kids get some variety and don’t get bored of the same vegemite sandwiches every day. Healthy food such as apples and salad is generally cheap to pop in the lunch box and of course nutritious.
